I think my favorite thing about Synchro Dimension is that it cuts all the lame stuff of 5D’s (fixing the society problems off camera, the robot thing from the future, yusei and speed counter/spells) along with the supernatural aspects of the show and what’s left is given more focus, blended together better and taken for a oppression spin which works fabulously with wildly different wealth classes, poor people being delegated to shitty lives and duel lanes becoming simply a board for the person in charge to play with his prey.

It’s the 5D’s we deserved.
